Need to extend your network between buildings or provide long-range outdoor WiFi? In this video, we walk through the complete setup and configuration of the TRENDnet TEW-941APBO Outdoor WiFi 6 Access Point — in under 20 minutes. We cover everything from the initial login and configuration to setting up wireless links, checking signal strength, testing performance, and some important real-world installation tips. 📡 In this video: • Initial setup and default login • Configuring the TEW-941APBO • Access Point and Client Bridge setup • Point-to-point and multi-AP applications • Understanding RSSI and signal strength • Up to 1,500 ft. line-of-sight outdoor links • Omnidirectional antenna coverage and weak spots • Avoiding reflections and interference from gutters, downspouts, eaves, and other metal objects • Proper AP placement and mounting • Using different 5 GHz channels for multiple wireless links • Testing throughput between access points • How existing traffic, such as IP camera streams, can affect speed-test results • Resetting the TEW-941APBO using the reset button on the compatible TRENDnet PoE injector One important point when planning your network: the advertised long-range performance is intended for a link between outdoor access points under appropriate line-of-sight conditions. Actual performance will vary based on distance, interference, obstructions, channel conditions, installation, and existing network traffic. Whether you're connecting separate buildings, extending a network to IP cameras, or designing an outdoor wireless deployment, this tutorial will help you get the TEW-941APBO configured and installed correctly. https://www.trendnet.com/products/TEW-941APBO 👍 If this video helped, please like, subscribe, and check out our other networking and security tutorials. #TRENDnet #TEW941APBO #OutdoorWiFi #WiFi6 #WirelessBridge #AccessPoint #Networking #PointToPoint #IPCameras #SSIReps

In this video, I walk you through the step-by-step process of adding a third-party Hikvision IP camera to a Luminys NVR. If you've tried Plug-and-Play and it didn't work, this guide covers the essential "Manual Add" method using the ONVIF protocol. Most users get stuck because the Hikvision camera has ONVIF disabled by default! I’ll show you exactly how to enable it and create the necessary ONVIF user to get your camera recording on your Luminys recorder.

Whether you are managing a single site or handling a multi-tenant enterprise deployment, mastering these switch-specific tools will save you hours of on-site troubleshooting. KEY SWITCH FEATURES COVERED DHCP Snooping: Learn how to protect your network from unauthorized or accidental rogue DHCP servers by establishing trusted vs. untrusted ports. Loopback Detection (LBD): Stop broadcast storms in their tracks. We show you how to configure the switch to automatically disable ports when an accidental network loop is created. LLDP & LLDP-MED: Discover how the switch automatically maps out your infrastructure, identifies neighboring hardware (IP cameras, APs, VoIP phones), and reads management IP addresses. PD Alive (Ping Directory Alive): A game-changer for surveillance and remote deployments. Program the switch to actively ping connected PoE devices (like IP cameras) and automatically cycle port power if they freeze up or stop responding. TDR Cabling Diagnostics: Test physical copper cables remotely. Learn how to use Time-Domain Reflectometry (TDR) inside Hive to find open circuits, shorts, and approximate distance-to-fault locations without touching a physical cable tester.
